It’s incredibly exciting and a huge honour to be featured on Network Ten’s “The Project”.
Not only is it one of Australia’s best loved and highest rating shows, but it’s been a long term goal of mine to be featured on the show.
In early 2016, I was contacted by the show because they were having Quentin Tarantino and Kurt Russell in as guests – Waleed wanted the chance to show my Hateful Eight snow globe, if there was time.
Unfortunately, as is often the case with high profile guests, the time went over and the globe didn’t get shown. Them’s the breaks, but I was determined that one day I’d be featured somehow!
More recently, I sent an email to the story team, letting them know of some updates to my recent projects, including my La La Land snow globes. The team decided to do a story on snow globe collectors, and asked me to take part as an expert in the craftwork and manufacturing side of things.
Nick and Billy came to visit here in my home studio, and spent the afternoon taking lots of beautiful video shots of my snow globes. There were lots of “oohs” and “aaahs” – there’s no doubt that a macro video view of an intricate snow globe setting is captivating indeed!
The next day, I headed into the studios in South Yarra and completed my interview. It was such an honour to work with the amazing team at The Project in putting this story together. Watching it at home with hubby Paul and fur-baby Tiberius was rather surreal, but so much fun! View it above, or view on The Project’s page at TenPlay
