These amazingly detailed astronaut Sleep custom resin ornaments were produced in tandem with the Sleep Snow Globes, commissioned by the band’s record label Third Man Records. Although I love producing custom glass ornaments, in this case it was much more preferable to use resin sculpting, as the detail required was far too high to use glass. Whilst glass is beautiful and very traditional, by nature it has very soft edges when it hardens, and this makes it close to impossible to create the sharpness of detail that was required for this design concept.
